How Veterans Can Pay for Care

As a Veteran, you have access to several benefits the Veterans Administration provides. Taking advantage of these benefits, however, can be challenging. At Griswold, we’ve partnered with Paradigm to help offices get credentialed, assist with billing, and ensure timely reimbursement.

There isn’t one single VA program that covers all of home care, however, there are several different benefit plans. Some programs you may be eligible for include Community Care Network, which includes Homemaker/Home Health Aid & Respite Care, Aid & Attendance, Veteran Directed Care, and Caregiver Support Programs.

Patriot Angels

As of November 2024, we have partnered with Patriot Angels. An organization dedicated to helping U.S. Veterans and their families receive the support they need through the VA Aid & Attendance Program. They have 12 years of experience assisting Veterans and have received more than 24,000 approvals for Veterans and their families.

Example VA Service Available

Through the Community Care Network, one service you may be eligible to receive through the VA is the Homemaker and Health Aides Program. Closely aligned with our Personal and Homemaking care services. A Homemaker and Home Health Aide is a trained individual who can come into a Veteran’s home and help them take care of themselves and their daily activities. If you need assistance in caring for a Veteran, a Griswold Caregiver can assist. Feeding and bathing another person can be stressful and time-consuming. This program was designed to help Veterans with their personal care needs. Your local VA medical center can assist in arranging for one of our Caregivers to come to your home regularly. Examples of activities they can assist with include eating, getting dressed, personal grooming, bathing, using the bathroom, moving throughout your house, and personal errands.
