As autumn settles in, the cooler air invites us to embrace indoor activities, but older adults must remain socially engaged.

In 2023, according to the Administration for Community Living, 59% of older adults 65+ reported living with their spouse and or partner, while 28% reported living alone, more than a quarter! Building and maintaining social connections is essential for enhancing quality of life, particularly as mobility challenges can arise with age.

To help foster these connections, there are numerous autumn events to enjoy, from scenic walks and local farmers’ markets to fall fests. Many events are designed with accessibility in mind, making them suitable for everyone. This fall, we’ve compiled a list of local events in Chester and Lancaster counties where you and your loved ones can enjoy the fun and connect with the community. Read on to discover the exciting fall events available!
