My name is Barbara Coyne, and I am the Director and Owner of the Scarsdale and Yonkers office of Griswold Care Pairing, servicing Westchester County, NY. Providing quality caregivers to our community is our highest priority. We understand the importance of being able to stay in your home, and we offer caregivers whose services will keep you comfortable, safe and content.
Caregivers not only enrich the lives of those in their care, they also provide peace of mind for those closest to the person receiving care. Many of my life experiences have led me toward an appreciation of the importance of first-class, quality care. I was fortunate to have my mother live with me and my family in the final stages of her illness, and the care she received at home allowed my family not only to continue with our active life, but also to enjoy her company when home.
Prior to joining Griswold, I witnessed first hand the expertise of Griswold’s in-home care team, as I engaged them for a dear friend. Some of those caregivers are still on our registry and continue to provide excellent care to our current clients.
I live and work in Westchester, and I am available to visit you or your loved ones anywhere in Lower Westchester within hours of your call.

As active members of the community, we partner with local organizations and initiatives to strengthen our impact. Our Owner, Barbara, proudly serves on the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce and regularly collaborates with leaders in senior services, such as the Livable Communities Initiative of Westchester County. She also participates in guest speaker events for senior groups across Bronxville and lower Westchester County. Through strong partnerships and active community engagement, we aim to foster a happier, healthier environment for the families who rely on us for home care.
Our deep involvement in lower Westchester County, including Harrison, Mt. Vernon, Pelham, and Rye, keeps us at the forefront of available resources for seniors, families, and Caregivers. We stay current with new local services and maintain close relationships with healthcare organizations, senior centers, networking groups, and social service agencies. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.

Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
