Brad Lemen
Executive Director
I grew up believing that having a caring, giving, loving nature is key to developing relationships within my community. I attribute much of that to my parents, who positively influenced the lives of hundreds of children during their forty years as educators. But more recently, another deeply personal situation influenced me to join the Griswold Home Care family.
For several years, I have been the primary caregiver for my girlfriend who has a chronic and debilitating illness. There are many blessings and challenges that come with providing care for a loved one, and through my own experiences I know exactly what you are going through. There is a large time commitment and numerous daily tasks that one must take on to care for a disabled or elderly family member, but more importantly, there is the emotional toll. There’s anxiety, frustration, mental and physical exhaustion, and the strain it puts on other relationships, just to name a few of the stressors family caregivers feel. I understand and live it daily.
I have always prided myself on connecting easily with seniors, so working in the home care industry fits perfectly with who I am and what I love to do. My passion is to provide customized exceptional care for your loved ones so they can age with dignity and grace while living independently in their homes. My goal is to relieve the burden from family members who are currently caring for their loved ones or who are constantly worrying about them. Rest assured that as needs change over time, so will the level of care that we will provide through our wonderful caregivers and staff.
When I am not working, I am very active in my church community at The Crossing in Chesterfield, and I also enjoy golfing. I look forward to meeting you and making your life easier with our outstanding service and quality care.

I discovered after a successful 30+ years in the sales & service industry, it was time to make a difference in other’s lives. With a leap of faith, an open mind & a little determination, I entered the home care industry. Born & raised in the St. Louis area, I am dedicated to providing you the best experience possible whether it’s pairing a quality caregiver for your loved one, providing information for other qualifying programs and resources in the area – I am here to assist.

Mark Warrington
Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Hello, my name is Mark Warrington. I joined Griswold Care Pairing for St. Charles, St. Louis, and Warren Counties as the Talent Acquisition Coordinator in March of 2025.
Prior to joining the team at Griswold, I spent 30-plus years in the logistics industry as a Service Center Manager.
I am committed to seeking out experienced caregivers who are passionate and well prepared to meet all our valued clients’ individual needs. I am also responsible for ensuring all caregiver compliance requirements are met. It is gratifying to be part of a process that has assisted so many people in so many positive ways.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, golfing, and fishing.
Gayle Messmann
Client Advocate Manager
Hi, I’m Gayle Messmann, Client Advocate Manager with Griswold Care Pairing. I bring more than 30 years of experience dedicated to supporting older adults and their families through every stage of the aging journey.
My approach is rooted in the belief that individuals should have the opportunity to remain in their homes—if they choose—with dignity, independence, and the right level of evolving support to ensure safety and comfort.
I specialize in helping clients navigate the complexities of aging, including legal, financial, social, and healthcare-related challenges. I also have extensive experience guiding families through long-term care insurance, helping them understand and maximize their benefits.
I take an empathetic and proactive approach, prioritizing meaningful listening to fully understand each client’s unique goals and concerns. My role is not only to guide, but to walk alongside families as they make important decisions with clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
I truly love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else. I look forward to the opportunity to support you and your loved ones.

We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
