Meet Your Team
Elizabeth Uribe
Owner
My name is Elizabeth Uribe, and I am proud to be an owner of Griswold Home Care for South Bay San Diego. My family and I have deep roots in the South Bay, and I care deeply about the people and communities we serve. As both a business owner and a parent raising my family here, I want our office to be a trusted local resource for individuals and families who need support at home.
My background includes leadership, community involvement, and work in public service and education. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a focus on Public Policy from the University of California, San Diego. Over the years, I have also been actively involved in my children’s schools and in community leadership roles. These experiences have strengthened my belief in listening carefully, advocating for others, and helping people navigate systems that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Christopher and I chose to bring Griswold Home Care to our community because its values closely align with our own. We were drawn to its long history in home care, its emphasis on compassion and integrity, and its focus on building trusted relationships with Clients and families. It is our continuous goal to have a business that feels personal and local, while also being supported by an organization with decades of experience helping people remain comfortable and supported at home.
As an owner, I am committed to building strong relationships with Clients, families, Caregivers, and community partners. My goal is for families to feel heard, supported, and confident that we will approach their care with the same thoughtfulness and respect we would want for our own family.

Owner
My name is Christopher Uribe, and I am proud to be an owner of Griswold Home Care for South Bay San Diego. San Diego has been home to my family for many years, and I am excited to help build a locally owned business focused on supporting individuals and families throughout our community who need dependable care and support at home.
I bring more than 15 years of experience in software engineering and technology, including leadership roles where I have been responsible for solving complex problems, building reliable systems, and working with teams to deliver results people can depend on. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University. Throughout my career, I have learned the importance of listening carefully, planning thoughtfully, and following through on commitments. These are principles that I believe are just as important in home care.
Elizabeth and I chose to bring Griswold Home Care to our community because we wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives and in the place where we are raising our family. We believe people who need support at home deserve care that helps them remain comfortable and independent while preserving their dignity and providing peace of mind for both Clients and their families.
As an owner, I am committed to helping create an organization families can trust, one that values compassionate care, dependable service, strong relationships, and treating every Client and Caregiver with respect.
In Your Community
We’re in This Together
Our team is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through serving those who need assistance to live where they love. We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations while navigating the challenges of Multiple Sclerosis and life as a wheelchair user. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
