My name is Ad, and I am proud to be the owner of Griswold Home Care for Palo Alto & Los Altos, serving our local community. My commitment to home care is rooted in a simple belief: every person deserves to feel safe, respected, comfortable, and cared for in the place they call home. I understand that choosing care for yourself or a loved one is a personal and important decision, and families deserve a provider who leads with compassion, reliability, and integrity.
Over the years, I have personally provided care and support to family members, neighbors, elderly individuals, and young adults in the community who needed extra help. That support has taken many forms, from offering companionship and conversation to helping with daily needs, checking in on someone’s well-being, providing reassurance to family members, and simply being a dependable presence when someone needed support. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the difference compassionate care can make in someone’s daily life. They also helped me understand that home care is not just about completing tasks; it is about building trust, preserving dignity, encouraging independence, and giving families peace of mind.
My background also includes business ownership, customer service, operations, and leadership experience. As a former Chevron franchise owner, I learned the importance of running a dependable service business where consistency, accountability, professionalism, and strong relationships matter every day. Managing teams, serving customers, maintaining high standards, and being present in the community taught me valuable lessons that I now bring to home care. I believe families should be able to count on clear communication, reliable scheduling, respectful caregivers, and a company that follows through on its commitments.
In addition to my business ownership experience, I bring many years of leadership experience from corporate America. That background helped me develop strong skills in organization, communication, problem-solving, team leadership, and operational excellence. I apply those principles to home care by focusing on quality, responsiveness, attention to detail, and a people-first approach in every client relationship.
As a local Griswold owner, my goal is to build a home care business known for compassionate caregivers, dependable service, and personalized support for each client and family we serve. Whether supporting seniors, young adults, individuals recovering from illness, or anyone who needs extra assistance at home, I am committed to helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent while being treated with dignity and respect. My mission is to earn the trust of families in our community by providing high-quality care that brings comfort, confidence, and peace of mind.

Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
