Meet Your Team
Greg Detiveaux
Owner/Director
After a 35-year career as a Certified Public Accountant, CFO, and Executive Manager in the international oil & gas services industry, Greg found that he was at a crossroad where he wanted to finish his career in a more stable industry as well as do something that felt more meaningful. Greg’s interest in the homecare industry began with his own family concerns that align with many of what Griswold’s clients go through, such as trying to find the best care solution for their parents and facing issues with certain siblings assisting more with caregiving since they live closer, while other siblings living further from home cannot assist in the same way. Dealing with these family issues and having the desire to help other families with similar challenges of finding solutions for their loved ones, Greg found a fulfilling and meaningful career path in the homecare industry.
After deciding that the homecare industry would be his future calling, Greg vetted several national companies and he felt highly aligned with the company culture and management styles of Griswold Home Care and its leaders. Griswold Home Care seemed like a great fit and did not have an established presence in the North Houston area where he and his wife Cindy reside. Once Greg and Cindy realized this opportunity, they joined the Griswold family and opened the Griswold North Houston agency, having full comfort in knowing Griswold had a great support system and track record of success with new franchise offices.
Greg has been married to his wife, Cindy, for nearly 27 years and have two sons and one daughter together. Their youngest, Daniel, is a college student at Lonestar Community College; while their daughter, Lauren, and oldest son, Douglas, are professionals working for dental and architectural firms, respectively.
Greg and his team of professionals look forward to providing caregivers who can serve your family with the attention, compassion, dignity, and the care that your family deserves.

In Your Community
We’re in This Together
Our team is dedicated to improving the well-being of our community through serving those who need assistance to live where they love. We are active in the neighborhood, so you’ll see us around town at events, participating in associations and meetings, and supporting local organizations inside and outside the care industry. We firmly believe in our ability to create a happier and healthier place to live through the connections we make with the people in our community.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
