Scenic spots
Bog Garden at Benjamin Park features an elevated boardwalk and 7 acres of natural wetlands. Visitors can enjoy the sounds of water at Serenity Falls, a recirculating waterfall. They can also take in the many plants, birds, and other wildlife that call the garden home. Admission to the garden is free; however, it is important to note that there are stairs and some walkways that may not be wheelchair accessible.

Greensboro Arboretum is a 17-acre garden in Lindley Park. It features 14 plant collections, paved walking trails, special display gardens, a scenic overlook, and more. The park is a great walking spot and is handicap accessible.

Fall Farms
McLaurin Farms is a local family-run farm that hosts farm events year-round. Their pumpkin patch is open on weekends through October. With events around the major holidays, there is something for everyone throughout the whole year. Tickets are required to visit the farm.

Zane’s Cloudbuster Farms is open until November 9th and is fun for the whole family. Open Monday-Thursday 3 pm-7 pm, Friday 3 pm-10 pm, Saturday 10 am-10 pm, and Sunday 1 pm-6 pm. Amenities include a corn maze, hayride, fire pits, farm animals, and pumpkins and other gourds to pick! Admission is free, but some attractions have a price to partake in.

Frazier Marsh Farm is another local farm with attractions including a caron maze, pumpkin patch, hayride, farm animals, corn cannon, and more. Open on weekends through November 2nd. There is a fee for admission.

Senior center events
Senior centers are another great place to find activities. They help foster social interaction and often have free programming. One center located in Greensboro is Senior Resources of Guilford. They host numerous events throughout the year and operate 17 programs. Some of those include counseling, education, support, and volunteer programs.
