They are CARF-certified and recognized for exceptional care for residents throughout their journey. There are 4 campuses, but for those age 50 or older, the Coniston and Cartmel neighborhoods provide independent living in beautifully designed carriage homes. For individuals age 65 and up, Kendal at Longwood and Crosslands are Life Plan Communities that include Personal Care and Skilled Nursing Care.

Kendal Crosslands Communities support residents at every stage of senior living. They provide a range of services and amenities, including in-house Rehabilitation Services such as Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. For those who require extra support, Kendal Crossland’s specially trained staff assists residents experiencing cognitive decline. The Validation Method is used at Crosslands, and the Montessori Method at Kendal at Longwood. These approaches allow residents to remain connected within the community rather than in isolated settings.

Kendal Crosslands Communities Living

Each campus within Kendal Crosslands Communities has its own unique character:

• Kendal at Longwood features single-story, ranch-style cottages and Garden Apartments with convenient interior access to the Community Center. Amenities include an outdoor pool, tennis court, and dog park.
• Crosslands is situated on a scenic 243-acre, horseshoe-shaped campus with a variety of cottages and apartment buildings, some of which offer three-season rooms and garage parking. Residents enjoy scheduled transportation for meals, a croquet course, and a Native Plant Preserve.
• Coniston and Cartmel are independent living neighborhoods for adults 50+, offering comfortable carriage homes in a peaceful, community-oriented setting.

If you’re interested in becoming a resident, note that wait times vary. Currently, the typical wait is around three years for smaller residences and five years or longer for larger homes.
