Jim and Teresa Middleton
Owner/Administrator
jim.middleton@griswoldcare.com
Jim and Teresa Middleton, Owners and Administrators of Griswold Home Care, have spent more than a decade helping families navigate one of life’s most important transitions—the decision to bring care into the home. Their journey into home care began on a personal note, when their own parents needed support to remain safely and comfortably at home. That experience shaped their belief that quality home care is not about transactions—it’s about relationships, trust, and compassion.
Under Jim’s leadership, Griswold Home Care of Broomfield and Westminster has grown to support dozens of families across the region and a dedicated team of more than 80 caregivers. He continues to stay closely involved in day-to-day operations, meeting with new clients, checking in after the first visit, and personally thanking caregivers for the difference they make. Jim firmly believes that when caregivers feel valued and supported, they provide the kind of care that families can truly feel.
Working alongside him is his wife and business partner, Teresa Middleton, an expert in Human Resources who brings exceptional insight into building strong teams and positive workplace culture. Teresa’s leadership behind the scenes helps ensure that every aspect of the business runs smoothly and efficiently. Together, Jim and Teresa have cultivated a work environment centered on respect, communication, and empathy, both for caregivers and for the families they serve.
As Colorado’s aging population continues to grow at one of the fastest rates in the nation, Jim and Teresa are passionate advocates for early, proactive planning for care. They emphasize that accepting help isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s an act of love. By combining cutting-edge technology with a deeply personal touch, they strive to help older adults stay safe, connected, and independent in the place they call home.
For Jim and Teresa, home care is more than a profession—it’s a calling rooted in family, compassion, and community.

At Griswold Home Care, we are more than just a service we are an integral part of the community. Being committed to enhancing the well-being of those around us and supporting individuals and families in living where they feel most at home. Whether it’s through hands-on assistance, advocating for local causes, or simply showing up at neighborhood event, Griswold is deeply involved in the life of our community.
Our team works in partnership with a variety of local organizations and agencies, including the Veterans Affairs to support veterans, as well as hospitals that offer grants to help those in need of care. We believe in building strong, lasting relationships that benefit everyone. From supporting local charities to collaborating with other care providers, we are committed to fostering positive connections that create a stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community. Every action we take is rooted in the belief that a connected community is a thriving one—and we strive to make a meaningful difference through every interaction.
Through our work, we help create a place where everyone can prosper in the spaces they love, with the support they need, and the dignity they deserve.
Jean’s Story
In 1982, Dr. Jean Griswold founded our company at her dining room table in a small suburb of Philadelphia. She found out that an elderly woman in her community had died of complications because she had no support system for care. Jean felt this was an easily preventable tragedy and was driven to find a solution by pairing Caregivers with those who could not thrive in their homes alone. She was a true visionary, establishing one of the first and most successful non-medical home care organizations in the country, despite being wheelchair-bound due to Multiple Sclerosis. Over 40 years later, her legacy lives on nationwide.
Scholarship
Where would we be without Caregivers? Their selflessness is astounding, yet they are often overlooked and underappreciated. The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.
