Fall Activities for Seniors in the Poconos
Category:
Older adults are encouraged to aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity per week.
According to the CDC, incorporating regular physical activity, especially outdoor options, into daily routines provides essential health benefits.
As temperatures drop and daylight hours decrease, fall is the perfect time for seniors to enjoy the weather and social engagement before the cold winter arrives. Getting outside and being physical helps seniors maintain mobility, enhances mental health, and reduces the risk of chronic disease. This fall, get out and enjoy local activities with a loved one, and explore Monroe County and activities in the Poconos by checking out our list of community events.
