Triad Medical Academy

Triad Medical Academy offers various programs designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge in various healthcare environments. All instructors are Registered Nurses, many with over 20 years of experience in both clinical practice and teaching.

Courses Offered

Nurse Aid I (CAN) Program

The Nurse Aide I Program is a 120-hour program that combines classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and real-world clinical experience. Students will acquire fundamental nursing skills essential for providing quality care in various healthcare settings. Upon program completion, graduates will be prepared to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program examination, leading to certification on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry.

Medication Aide Program

The Medication Aide Program is designed for individuals already listed on the NC Nurse Aid I Registry and focuses on the safe administration of medications in care facilities. Topics include the six rights of medication administration, various routes of medication delivery, medical asepsis, hand hygiene, and legal implications. Graduates will be eligible to take the state exam to qualify for listing on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry.

CPR and First Aide Courses

Triad Medical Academy offers both Heartsaver CPR/First Aid/AED and Basic Life Support (BLS) courses. The Heartsaver course is tailored for non-healthcare professionals, while the BLS course is designed for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. These courses teach essential skills to respond to medical emergencies.
