Age Well Senior Services is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides programs and resources for older adults in Orange County to support their independence, health, and well-being. Through Meals on Wheels, a Senior Center Lunch Café, and more, they serve hundreds of thousands of seniors across our community. Learn more here.

Through the VA Aid and Attendance Program, wartime veterans and their surviving spouses 65 years and older may be entitled to tax-free benefits. If your loved one needs help with daily activities, or is housebound, they may qualify. Learn more and apply here.

The Alzheimer’s Association is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization working to end Alzheimer’s disease, which accounts for the majority of dementia cases. They accelerate research around risk reduction and early detection, helping to inform care. The Orange County Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is active in Mission Viejo! We enjoy attending their annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s event, the largest fundraiser in the fight against the disease. Learn more here.

The California Caregiver Resource Centers have been serving family caregivers since 1984 through their network of 11 centers in CA. The California Department of Aging creates programs for older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long-term care facilities in California. Caregiver Resource Center OC (CRC OC) has free resources for family Caregivers in Orange County. They have general support groups online and in person, along with support groups for specialized topics like dementia. The Mission Viejo Family YMCA – Family Gym and Fitness Center advances the Y’s mission of building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Their programs support people at every stage of life. At the gym, offerings for older adults include group workouts, aqua exercise, yoga, and more. They also have nutrition programs with one-on-one consultations to design a personalized plan. The Norman P. Murray Community & Senior Center offers a variety of fitness classes, social and educational activities, and music, dance, and art programs. Many are free and open to join! We proudly partner with PocketRN, a leading nationwide provider under Medicare’s GUIDE Program. GUIDE is designed to support those living with dementia, as well as their Caregivers. This program can help you build a tailored care plan and identify services, such as respite care.
