Your loved one can go to a ballgame at Camden Yards at Oriole Park or a football game at Ravens stadium. Caregivers can also accompany your loved one to the National Aquarium or the Glenn L. Martin Aviation Museum. Perhaps simply strolling through historic South Chesapeake Plantation City would make an enjoyable afternoon for your family members. These activities and many more are possible with our Caregivers’ assistance!
Geriatric Assistance and Information Network (GAIN): GAIN is comprised of individuals, agencies and businesses that provide products and services for seniors within Harford County, MD. They hold monthly meetings for general members, providing an opportunity to network, as well as gain relevant information from informative speakers. In addition to a venue for networking and education, each year, G.A.I.N. organizes several events designed to benefit seniors within our community. These events include the Annual Harford County Caregivers Conference as well as fundraising events. Through fundraising efforts, G.A.I.N. has made significant financial contributions to the Harford County Senior Emergency Fund, Family & Children Services and Harford Community College.
National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC): NAIPC is a trusted network that connects older adults, their loved ones, and Caregivers with local professionals who provide the services and support needed to thrive at home. The Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Aging in Place Council is a coalition of compassionate, vetted professionals united by one powerful mission: to help older adults remain safe, connected, and empowered in the homes of their choice and the communities they love. There are five key areas: Housing, Health & Wellness, Personal Finance, Transportation, and Community & Engagement.
The Option Group: The Option Group is a compassionate team of Geriatric/Aging Life Care Managers (GCM) that serves family Caregivers, medical professionals, and professional family advisors. Caring for individuals who need assistance due to aging, dementia, disability, or chronic illness can be challenging. The Option Group team has over 100 years of experience navigating the healthcare maze.
Dwyer Workforce Development – Dwyer is a nonprofit program dedicated to improving the lives of today’s seniors and providing education and training for Caregivers. They provide free healthcare training and comprehensive support to individuals who lack opportunity and aspire to pursue a job in healthcare. Their holistic, person-centered approach removes barriers and empowers individuals to follow and succeed in their career paths.
COGS The Coalition of Geriatric Services is a non-profit organization of public agencies, private companies and individuals who provide services to older adults. COGS was established in 1991 and currently has over 200 individuals representing over 100 organizations from the Baltimore/Washington area. A volunteer board of directors and a variety of committees plan program meetings, monitor legislation, develop membership, and provide education information to its members and the community at large. COGS has been widely recognized for its effectiveness in linking business and service providers with individuals in search of special services beneficial to older adults, or who need help in developing new services.
Amedisys – Griswold Home Care for Baltimore will work alongside Amedisys, who specializes in health services. Amedisys offers a range of health services, encompassing occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, hospice, and palliative care, all conducted within the client’s own home. Concurrently, Griswold Home Care for Baltimore will deliver essential non-medical home care support for you or your loved one.
